Kate Micucci, an actress and comedian who has already participated in the series ‘The Big Bang Theory,’ shared a video on her TikTok with the caption “an update on what I’ve been doing,” in which she reveals her lung cancer diagnosis.

In the series, Kate plays Lucy, a woman that Raj (played by Kunal Nayyar) meets at a party, and they start a romance in the 6th season, with further appearances in the 7th season and, finally, in the 10th season.

For the actress who has been involved in significant projects such as “Scrubs,” “Raising Hope,” “Steven Universe,” and the “Scooby-Doo” franchise, where she did voice acting, the diagnosis was a big surprise, as she stated that she never smoked cigarettes throughout her life.

Despite the shock, Kate underwent surgery and commented in the video about the situation and how doctors quickly identified the onset of the disease. In the comments, various users left words of support for the actress and sent good vibes.
